Job Description
We’re looking for candidates who have experience in the design, installation, administration, and optimization of end-user solutions and related components to achieve and maintain high performance. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the environment. Responsibilities will include core Microsoft back office technologies, and 3rd party infrastructure software and applications, compliance/audit reporting with automation.  This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Our ideal candidate would be described like this
 
  • A Windows 10 deployment expert, ideally 10 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer/ Architect: configuring, migrating and troubleshooting.  Must be able to architect solutions including testing and implementation.
  • Experience with various functions such as: end user support and technologies with progressive responsibilities, such as MDT, SCCM, Power Shell, Windows 10 and GPO Building/supporting/configuring/engineering Microsoft Technologies including Windows Operating Systems, Group Policy, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, O365, Active Directory
  • Advanced trouble-shooter and problem-solver with the ability to research, coordinate resources, identify risks and develop and propose solutions to complex issues.
  • Knowledgeable about Enterprise software and technologies, MySQL Database management and Strong AV Management
  • Strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments.
  • Excellent delegation skills involving prioritizing/reprioritizing workloads.
  • Will have a Bachelor degree in an IT related field or equivalent experience.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
 
  • Providing business and IT solutions for complex managed services within a global end user environment of approximately 3,500 users.
  • Provide automated solutions for Support teams
  • Manage Windows 10 migration effort.
  • Desktop engineering and architecture, including design, testing and implementing into production.
  • Compile automated reports for compliance and security [MySQL]
  • Prioritize incoming work and report status.  Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  Respond to changing priorities.
  • Ensure documentation within the End User Engineering team is stored and accessible from a single point.
  • Evaluation, selection, and implementation of approved technologies that align with technical architecture, business plans and long term strategy.
  • Exploration of innovative tools and strategies and how they can deliver IT solutions that align with technical architecture, business plans and long term strategy.
  • Tracking lifecycle management and quality assurance key productivity tools, hardware, and services.
  • Provide general management for technology-based endpoint support for End User Services ( EUS ) and in support of IT Infrastructure functions working to agreed operation level agreements (OLA’s)
  • Manage the endpoint components/systems used by EUE and other functions for daily operations, compliance, and desktop security. Has shared impact on final results and has extensive directed freedom to act as required to maintain expected service levels.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of business relationships necessary to expand and ensure program success.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, working within established deadlines while ensuring a high level of quality. This includes constant improvement of end user services related to endpoint management, exceeding customer expectations and improving and increasing the portfolio of services provided.
