This position offers an opportunity to work as an Analyst in our Stamford, CT office. McLagan is the financial services industry's leading global compensation consulting firm.     Your impact as an Analyst

    The Analyst role sits within the Global Operations Team, and is heavily involved in several aspects of data analysis and data management for our large global banking clients. The Data Analyst will work closely with our Global Data Managers and Relationship Managers for those clients to ensure all data is loaded, cleaned, validated, edited, reviewed and signed-off. The ideal Data Analyst candidate will possess knowledge of relational databases as well as an investigative mindset and the ability to learn and utilize new tools and techniques, both quickly and effectively.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Ownership of data integrity, governance and validity
    • Attendance of client kick-off meetings
    • Review and audit of client compensation and demographic data
    • Database query development for data analysis and ad-hoc business requests
    • Documentation of client specific requirements
    • Open and concise communication with Data / Relationship Managers
    • Data reconciliation exercises

    You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

    • 0-2 years of work experience within the financial services or consulting industries
    • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V-Lookups (VBA a plus)
    • Basic – Intermediate SQL skills including query development, views, stored procedures
    • A quick learner who is able to execute efficiently and accurately
    • Strong analytical approach to problem solving with great attention to detail
    • Experience in extracting and reconciling data across multiple systems
    • Must be a process focused individual with the ability to execute
    • Proactive and able to work on own initiative

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or Business
