    Part Time (19.5 hours per week)
    $15.00 per hour

    • Provide employment support to students with disabilities at vocational work sites.
    • Assist students to become skilled in the specific requirements of the job; learn work-related activities and requirements such as time and attendance rules; and learn appropriate work-related (including societal) behaviors when working with co-workers and supervisors.
    • Determine areas of vocational and personal strength and weakness, for the student, and provide timely follow-up coaching to maximize success.
    • Utilize positive behavior strategies for ensuring a successful transition from a school setting to an employment setting. Help students to experience success and gain confidence in their ability to succeed.
    • Monitor the student’s outcomes and progress, in regard to decorum, attendance, communication, interpersonal relations and job development.
    • Provide training and support to help students perform their job tasks to meet expectations and performance standards; maintain a positive attitude; develop career goals; and learn job retention skills.
    • Perform related assessment tasks, entailing collection and compilation of data to demonstrate the outcomes and progress of the student.
    • Maintain records, as directed.
    • Attend professional development sessions.
    • Take the City bus and train students how to read the bus schedule and ride to and from destinations.
    • Model excellent attendance and punctuality.
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Record of academic and professional success.
    • One or more years of experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology in a variety of applications, including memos, schedules, spreadsheets, and data entry.
    • Experience providing direction and assistance to others.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and handle multiple projects at the same time.
    • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously and effectively with staff, students, job site employers and parents.
    • Ability to resolve conflicts in a positive and constructive manner.
    • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common sense skills.
