    Duties include setting-up, maintaining and troubleshooting computers and peripherals; performing basic networking maintenance and troubleshooting.

    The following statements of duties, responsibilities, frequency, and percentages are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.     • Set-up new computers and maintain and troubleshoot computers and peripherals in the building. Generate and monitor help requests for building technology equipment repairs.
    • Have basic computer/technology knowledge and skills to operate computers, projection systems, digital cameras, scanners, etc.
    • Act as school technology liason with Google, troubleshooting hardware and software and assisting with integrating technology into the classroom. Help school staff on computers, peripherals and the latest applications that become District standards.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    High school diploma or equivalent. Courses in personal computers, Macintosh, Google and Microsoft Office preferred. Must successfully complete ParaPro Assessment as part of the No Child Left Behind Act within the first year of employment if Associate Degree or higher is not already achieved.

    One year and up to and including two years of experience with personal computers. Experience with Microsoft Office, Google, PowerSchool, educational software and working with children preferred

    Oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, decision making, problem solving, intermediate personal computer hardware and software and basic math skills. Ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities. Ability and willingness to learn new technology. Ability to seek out appropriate resources to resolve technology problems. Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers, Macintosh computers and general computer hardware and software required at hire. Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office, Chrome, student information system and Google preferred at hire; required within 5 months after hire. English language skills required. Oral and written fluency in second language may be preferred or required based on building assignment.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

    Working Conditions:
    Rate dependent on Union Contract - 19 hrs./wk. - NO benefits
