Job Description
This position reports to the Manager of Global Logistics in the Material Operations Department. The primary function of this position will be coordinating the shipment of both domestic and international spares in support of the Aftermarket business. This requires use of SAP, transportation provider web sites, the U.S. CBP web site, and other software as required. The position requires the preparation of shipment documentation based on customer requirements and urgency, including coordinating both domestic and international transportation, using both Sikorsky freight forwarders and those based on customer-routing requirements. Timely processing of shipments, the ability to react to changes, AOG requirements, and a high degree of accuracy are critical to the success of the process. In addition there may be the need to compile metrics for spares shipments and revenue.

This position may also be expanded to support other areas of Global Logistics and the supply chain relative to the transportation of production product and non-product materials. This may include any of the following responsibilities: assisting with operational solutions in the areas of transportation/logistics, network optimization, transportation/logistics strategy, and process management. Also, supporting compliance to routings, carrier/mode selection through utilization of current Sikorsky approved transportation providers, supporting hot shot requirements and week-end duty Also, support of other department initiatives, special projects, and day-to-day business as required.

This position will require proficient analytical skills, written communication, and customer/supplier contact.

Basic Qualifications
Associates degree with minimum of 2 years’ experience

Experience with Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Ability to demonstrate leadership skills, teamwork, innovation, forward planning, anticipation of changing business requirements, application of logistics and supply chain methodologies.

Desired skills
BA/BS degree w 1-2 years’ experience
MA/MS degree w/0-1 years’ experience
The position will require compliance with EH&S policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements. The incumbent is responsible for complying with all company ethics policies, principles and practices. In executing job responsibilities, the employee shall take all steps necessary to foster open communications and to support the company’s compliance, business practices, DIALOG, and Ombudsman programs. The employee may be required to work additional hours when required to complete assignments and to support business plans and goals. The employee will also be required to support rotational weekend and holiday duty activity.
