As the Manager of Human Resources (HR), you continuously strive to exceed client expectations through the implementation and management of staff policies and appreciation initiatives. You excel at balancing employee advocacy and business operating needs. You propel business growth by implementing the recruitment, employment, employee relations and equal opportunity employment processes. Through a combination of your HR expertise and understanding of industry knowledge, you effectively resolve complex HR issues within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.  You are passionate about achieving organizational goals through collaboration with senior leadership and the execution of short-term and long-term strategies. You mitigate company risks by ensuring that all company practices are compliant with government regulations. You develop effective leaders, manage a team from an office position and travel regularly to achieve company goals. You report to the director of human resources for goals, guidance and assistance.

What you will do:

• Focus on improving service delivery by supporting the necessary business organizations and providing recommendations
• Promote a positive work culture by overseeing all aspects of employee relations and ensuring that company policies are administered fairly and consistently
• Boost staff performance and meet leadership’s changing needs through collaboration with departments to understand business challenges and ensure effective and timely HR support
• Minimize risks by managing staff data entry processes, maintaining legal compliance with company and regulatory agency requirements and adhering to local, state and federal employment laws
• Maintain high integrity for the performance management program and the professional development of teams through detailed guidance
• Guide the company toward prosperity by enhancing the quality of staff through strategic staff retention programs, ensuring compliance with EEO, FCC and Affirmative Action and in-depth management and support
of organizational change
• Achieve company objectives through a timely and accurate payroll process and commission reporting
• Increase employee satisfaction by conducting investigations and issue escalation to include ethics reports
• Continuously improve the HR department by hiring, training and managing the performance and development of direct reports and managing all HR communications
• Ensure accurate submissions of critical federal staff documents by reviewing unemployment and workers compensation claims
• Manage annual enrollment efforts and serve as a subject matter expert on employee benefit programs
• Mitigate labor risks through Labor Relations Programs and coordinating and participating in Labor Relations Negotiations
• Reach department’s financial goals by participating in budget planning and revising expenses

Required Keys for Success:

• Five or more years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a multi-location environment
• Effectively plan, manage and lead projects while delegating, supervising and developing team members
• History of speaking in public and interacting with the public in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality
• Expert prioritization and organization skills with the ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Track record of working independently and showing good judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
• Advanced knowledge of state, local and federal employment laws, procedures, federal wages and hourly laws
• Deep understanding of recruitment trends and employment practices
• Knowledge of employee relations, procedures and applicable laws
• Proficient in personal computer use and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of management and staff

• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business or organizational behavior or a related field, or equivalent training, education and experience (required)
